Hi, I'm Simon 👋🏼

I'm a th-year Ph.D. candidate at Harvard, in Chemical Biology, advised by Prof. Brian Liau , and supported by an NIH F31 Fellowship and an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. I'm broadly interested in developing new functional genomics methods along with tailored computational frameworks that are powered to reveal new insights into biomolecular interactions.

I received my bachelor's degree summa cum laude in 2020 from Harvard in Chemistry and Physics with a secondary in Computer Science, when I worked in Prof. David Liu 's lab on protein evolution and precision genome editing. I also worked on statistical methods for batch reinforcement learning, advised by Prof. Finale Doshi-Velez ; and a few projects developing mathematical algorithms for microscope video analysis for a novel approach to rapid antibiotic susceptibility testing ( Prof. Nongjian Tao and Prof. Shaopeng Wang ) and calcium imaging in neuroscience ( Prof. Xue Han ).
